Position:

Public Relations Manager

Description:

Primary responsibilities for this position includes overseeing all press and public relations activities on behalf of The Pabst Theater Group's portfolio of events and public image. This individual will work closely with the talent buying, marketing and sponsorship departments to ensure sales goals are met or exceeded. Additionally, this individual will act as a community ambassador to promote and maintain PTG's positive brand, image and altruistic goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in journalism, communications or related field.
  • 3 or more years professional experience in public relations, preferably in entertainment, event planning or marketing or otherwise applicable industries.
  • Ability to effectively present plans, strategies and results to the organization's management team.
  • Impeccable communication skills and the ability to interface and develop strong relationships with press entities, artist management contacts and community partners.

Position:

Payroll and Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Summary

The Payroll and Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for assisting with biweekly payroll processing, weekly entering of accounts payable invoices, monthly payroll close procedures, entering in the system new hires/terminations/job changes, perform benefit enrollment processing, communication/follow-up with employees related to HR matters as needed, entering expense reports, and other miscellaneous light accounting duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Review and process bi-weekly payroll data with a high level of accuracy and performing related preparatory tasks on an ongoing basis
  • Enter expense reports and invoices into the AP system
  • Process weekly check run and other miscellaneous check runs during the week
  • Assist with monthly journal entries, analysis, and reconciliations at month end and as needed on an ad-hoc basis
  • Be responsible for all new hire, job change, benefit enrollment processing
  • Maintain integrity while working with sensitive payroll/benefits information

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience working in payroll/accounts payable
  • Some understanding of accounting rules and practice
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and fun environment
  • Comfortable in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to use good judgment and decision making skills
  • Additional Preferred Skills

  • Associates degree in accounting a plus
  • ADP and SAGE experience a plus
  • Time and Attendance experience a plus

Position:

Event Staff

Description:

Are you looking for a part time job in an awesome environment? The Pabst Theater Group's Event Staff department is hiring for Fall!

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Scanning tickets/handing out information at our concerts and events
  • Dispersing our street marketing materials throughout the city
  • Operating Coat Check in Winter
  • Setting up the venue on a show by show basis for our patrons
  • Working booths at outdoor events (Fish Fry and a Flick, Pridefest, Lebowski Fest, etc.)
  • Changing out our in-house signage on a show by show basis

Requirements:

  • Customer Service/Service Industry experience is preferred, but not required
  • Event Staff shift hours are primarily nights (4pm on), and weekends
  • Applicants should have a flexible schedule, and be able to work a combination of both mornings and evening hours throughout the week/weekend
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
  • Applicants should be willing/able to work face to face with patrons at our venues
  • Hours are part-time and vary dramatically week to week, the perfect job for students, or those who already have another part-time job

Description:

This position involves employment for our security partner Per Mar Security Services. Employment with Per Mar provides an excellent opportunity to work within our three historic venues and grants a foot in the door for those who wish to pursue further employment in the event and entertainment industries.
