Director of Artist Hospitality

Overview

The Pabst Theater Group (PTG Live Events LLC) in Milwaukee Wisconsin is seeking an individual to lead the Artist Hospitality and Catering Department for operation in it’s venues: The Pabst Theater, Riverside Theater, Turner Hall Ballroom and The Backroom at Colectivo as well as outside events promoted by the organization. Responsibilities for this position include overseeing a staff, managing budgets and organizing logistics in order to curate dining options, provide backstage amenities and create special interest activities for visiting talent and crew. The ideal candidate for this position will be a great project manager, communicator and leader with the ambition and energy to meet the challenges that our business demands while possessing the creativity and attention to detail to create the small touches that make for a great experience. Hospitality or live event experience is helpful, but is not a must for the position. Project management, people management and logistics experience will be of equal or greater value.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Direct Hospitality Managers and part-time staff for executing events
  • Work with Executive Chef, Sous Chef and Pastry Chef for artist meals pertaining to event styles, dietary restrictions and private events
  • Advance with tours and clients on their needs for the day regarding dressing room amenities, meals, hotels, transportation and schedules
  • Coordinate with Production and Operations departments on event schedules and requirements
  • Supervise full time and part time staff members’ schedules, payroll and training within the department
  • Manage both individual event budgets plus an annual budget along with producing financial reporting for the department
  • Oversee maintenance of backstage areas of venues
  • Create a welcoming and exciting backstage and day of show experience for visiting talent
  • Coordinate with other department heads in assisting with company projects

Qualifications

  • 5+ years professional experience with relevant skill sets
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field
  • Experience in supervising staff and project management
  • Basic proficiency in business software: Microsoft Excel and Word, Gmail
  • Excellent communication and business management skills

Compensation and Benefits

Digital Content Coordinator

1-2+ years professional experience preferred

  • Research what other brands are doing in the digital content space and provide recommendations

Event Staff

Description:

Description:

We are looking for individuals who are comfortable in a customer service setting and have flexible working during our normal business hours (Monday-Friday from Noon-6:30pm) in addition to nights and weekends. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus, but not required.
