ABOUT

Constructed in 1882, Turner Hall began as a showplace for the panoramic painters and other German immigrant artists who dominated the Milwaukee art scene until the 1920's and throughout the early 1900's. It is the only building in Milwaukee that currently holds the three following honorary architectural and historical designations: a National Landmark, a listing on the National Registry of Historic Places, and a local Historical Landmark. Located in the heart of downtown, across from the Bradley Center, the two-story, 7,000 - plus square foot Ballroom is a central hub for a vast array of events in the city of Milwaukee. Turner Hall features a variety of customizable options, from bar packages to catering, that make your wedding as unique as the space that's hosting it.

The first time we came across Turner Hall Ballroom was while surfing the internet for a unique wedding venue for our fall wedding. We were blown away by photos of a wedding reception that had taken place there and immediately wanted to see it in person! As amazing as the photos were, they did no justice to the beauty, uniqueness, and character that Turner Hall has to offer. From the stage, to the balcony, and all the little details in between, the possibilities are endless for planning a wedding there! Not only is Turner Hall beautiful, but working with Ann and her staff made the wedding planning experience so much smoother. She helped create a bar package that suited our guests and budget, answered our many, many emails throughout the process, and was able to meet at times that were convenient for us. She was very laid back and easy going, and also very flexible with our set up/take down schedule, as well as dropping things off and picking things up before and after the reception. The staff members were also very friendly and didn’t hesitate to step in to help with some unplanned details. We also received numerous compliments of how friendly and fun our bartenders were! Overall, we would highly recommend hosting your wedding and/or reception at Turner Hall! Our day was perfect and we couldn’t thank Ann and her staff more for their help!

When we first saw Turner Hall, we knew our wedding needed to be there! It was beautiful and the possibilities for wedding ideas were endless. There were the doubters, "Isn't that a place for concerts?", but in the end, Turner Hall was the most complimented aspect of our wedding! Everyone had an amazing time and LOVED the unique venue. All of the staff at Turner Hall was amazing! Everyone was so helpful and seemed to genuinely care about making our wedding the best day of our life. We couldn't have picked a better venue for our wedding.

We booked the Turner Hall Ballroom for our reception and it was a dream come true!! I felt lucky to have gotten such a great space, but it turned out to be even better than that. The staff was amazing to work with (though difficult to get a hold of at times) and worked with us and our other vendors to make sure that our day was everything we wanted it to be. The room was absolutely breathtaking and they were very flexible in terms of meetings, and letting us drop things off and pick them up after the wedding. The Turner Hall Ballroom is a beautiful venue that I would recommend without hesitation to anyone having a large wedding!!
